Profiles with FAANG (Facebook/Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google/Alphabet) style company experience preferred.



As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Developers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, and Program Managers to architect and implement scalable data pipelines for both structured and unstructured datasets. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, managing, and leveraging large datasets to derive actionable insights. Strong business acumen and communication skills are essential for partnering with stakeholders to define key business questions and develop datasets that address them. Proficiency in big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Redshift, EMR, and other AWS technologies is required. Above all, we are seeking a passionate individual who thrives on working with massive datasets and excels at synthesizing data to drive impactful business decisions.






BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 6+ years of data engineering experience

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience with SQL

- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

- Experience mentoring team members on best practices

- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions





PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR

- Experience operating large data warehouses
